Life is elastic. It holds us up, it lets us dream, it pulls us back, it makes us laugh. And at the centre is the self.
Flexibility is a necessary tool for navigating through everyday life and each of us faces different challenges. Our experiences are like our handwriting: personal, unique, unmistakable, never the same. I would like to invite you to the participatory art project The Elastic Self. Your contribution counts.
In my work I ask myself questions on the basic conditions of human existence. In The Elastic Self I include the individual in order to explore the subject in greater detail. I am interested in the everyday, the fleeting or incidental, and researching other people’s input allows me to outline this in detail.
